Today we just finished a major project, and as I sit here in my office looking out the window, just letting the feeling of satisfaction sink in, after spending the last two hours with our team, just enjoying ourselves and relaxing, I let my thoughts wander and begin reflecting on the wonderful team of people I work with. And as one thought led to the other, I realized that one of the most important things that we have learned as a team is that being united in our work is not only necessary for our success, but that it actually is part of who we are. We are all very different people, with different fields of expertise and interests, but five of the many things that unite us are: Our respect for each other, for each other’s work, making our work together meaningful, being creative and being flexible. Respect, creativity and flexibility - three fundamental elements in making a team work, especially one the members of which are not always in the same place at the same time. Sometimes we are continents apart, and have to meet with each other (or with our clients on other continents) in the wee hours of the morning or very late at night, but we make it work because we are dedicated to what we do, and really enjoy it. It makes sense to us, and it is meaningful. And this is so very important for us to continue onwards. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring!
